A Thousand Words

2008 July 5

Its said A picture is worth a thousand words. And rightly so. I got this e-mail and it had only images of advertisements which conveyed important messages in a more effective manner than long posts could ever have.

# Picture 1

Title: Parenting is by example
Headline:
Children learn fast. Don’t fight at home.

# Picture 2

Title: Stop Racism
Headline:
Defend human rights against racial discrimination

# Picture 3

Title: Encourage Adoption
Headline:
Adopt. You never know who you’ll bring home

# Picture 4

Title: Save girl child

# Picture 5

Title: Child Abusive Awareness
Headline:
Most child abuse is committed by the person a child trusts

# Picture 6

Title: Feed the Children

The next time you waste food, think.

For those of non-Hindu culture, according to Hindu mythology picture 3 is of the Hindu god Lord Krishna and his foster parents Yashoda and Nanda who raised him.

  20. 2008 July 7

    @Abhinav really? I cant see from which angle u guys r finding Pic 1 funny. :) See on the left side of Pic 7..what that star stands for is written….that star is basically a watermark I believe.

    @Chaitu yes it really was. :)

    @Robert Hmm have to read and then analyse to agree or disagree with u.

    @Nikhil Ok sure.:D

  21. 2008 July 7

    @Chakoli Welcome to my blog! Thanks! Thats what..if parents spent enough quality time with each other then there would be no domestic fights (not considering those hubbys/ wives with behavorial probs)..and the little time they are together they spend fighting in front of kids. Infact a couple should not taunt or show disrespect towards each other of any level in front of kids.

    @Sandeep Good point!! Its sad but true..what u have pointed out.

    @Joel Thanks!!

    @BlueMist yes really, I too haven’t come across any of these in any magazines or website or any other media.

    @Aaarti welcome to my blog!!thanks for your effort. See u around!

    @Suda et tu? Seriously I cant see the humor in it.

    @Didi :D

  27. 2008 July 8

  28. 2008 July 9

    @Amit I’m happy to know u didn’t find the first one funny :)

  29. 2008 July 9

    WOW all the pics dictate terms… but unfortunately, only deaf ears and blind eyes welcome them…
    serious nessage apart, the pics provide a gr8 comic relief…! :)

  30. 2008 July 9

    @Harshasrisri Thanks!! :D Cant see the humor though :)

  31. 2008 July 10

    @reems : i actually meant this… its serious to those who can understand the message… its a bit funny to those who have already understood it… and its just another picture to those who care a damn about understand it… i understood what it meant but cant imagine the magnitude at which this msg shud be spread… so its part serious and part funny for me…
    and for coming up with this post u deserve this… :)

  32. 2008 July 10

    Standing up, Huge Applause

  33. 2008 July 10
