Happy Birthday ‘Independent’ India… ๐
I’ve seen that news reel that announces the birth of India and Pakistan and it never ever fails to interest me. ๐ I love history and love watching old videos that transport us back to olden days. After watching these videos, I feel that the old India was better than the new India in many waysโฆmaybe it had something to do with the newly gained Independence.
Great blog btw! ๐ I need to be a regular here. And thank you for having me on your blogroll.
Jai Hind and Happy Independence Day to you
Happy Independence Day to you.
Happy Independence Day to you too!! ๐
Thanks for sharing those videos.
happy independence day Reema!
Happy Independence Day to all !!!!
BTW : It was pointed in “Hazaaron Khwahishein Aisi” that in his speech Pt. Nehru made an error : He delivered the speech at midnight in India and he said that when the world is sleeping, we gain Independence. Well… half the world was awake at that time.
Just a thought ๐
Thanks for these interesting videos. Happy Independence day to you too.
Lovely collection of videos! I remember that “Tryst with destiny” speech so well, and those particular lines especially. I would give the I-Day speech in school and quote those lines ๐
