The Fear of Death
My maternal uncle had been suffering from cancer and passed away on 15th August. During the last days of his life, I observed one important aspect of human nature which made me analyze my opinion on it. The aspect was the innate, sometimes subconscious sometimes obvious fear of death. Having a terminally ill family member at home does cause an air of sadness and depression. But its interesting to see how others react to it. Another close relative; a well known surgeon, very rich & money minded person and my uncle’s neighbor, got affected by high blood pressure by all this. Apparently he was struck by the fear of death. After accumulating so much wealth all his life, he would have to let go of everything. That is a scary thought for all those who are deeply attached to their assets. The fear of death reminds me of a story I’d read in school books which illustrates that Fear is the real epidemic.
In Memoriam
One day I found it sitting on the printer on my computer table staring at me without batting an eyelid. I somehow managed to shoo it away. Few days later I saw it climbing down on the curtain on the window behind my computer. I made all sorts of clapping and flapping sounds to scare it away. I even shook the curtain to make it go but the brave soul it was, it clung on stubbornly. I was scared to sit at my computer with it staring at me. Else unlike my sister, I have no problem with it and I peacefully co exist with it in my room. So I decided to use a deodorant spray to shoo it off. I sprayed on it liberally and as expected it scampered off. Next day I found it on the floor beside my dressing table dead as a doornail and that too upside down with all its limbs in air.
This post is in loving memory of a useful creature whose crime was just that it was fatally attracted by my computer table or computer. The murderer deodorant spray should be investigated for its chemical composition. After all we use it on ourselves too. The funeral has been conducted. But don’t be sad. I have pictures of the dead body of the victim.
Pictures Of Love
I got this as a forwarded mail and I dont know if its true or not. But I felt touched by the pictures. So I’m sharing this with you. The story is of the suffering of a poor bird shocked with its partner’s fatal injury.
Here the partner is injured and the condition is very appalling
Here the other bird brings food and attends its partner with love and compassion
Start Living!!
Life is so fickle. One moment you may be on the top of the world and in next moment you may literally be on the top of the world if you know what I mean. One moment you may be driving back home looking forward to a nice dinner and next moment you may be dead due to a bomb blast. And there can be more examples of how uncertain life is. In the next moment you may never see the people you care about ever again. You may never get to make that pending phone call again or finish those long due stuff on your “to-do” list. You may never get to say that “I’m sorry” or “I love you” ever again. One moment you are making money left and right and next moment you are dead before you could enjoy the fruits of your labor (legal or otherwise).
My Death Day
I got a site’s link in email which will predict the player’s death date. And I got this result showing my death date and causes of death. And it shows a countdown in terms of seconds!!
P.S. I tried the reincarnation link too. Seems I’m going to be a Pigeon in my next birth.
