Hello People!
So I am back from my trip to Ahmedabad and Delhi. Well it has been one and half week but you know the law of inertia 😀 Of course, travel posts on my travel blog and reblogs here will be posted. Oh God I have so many pending posts to write – Mysore, Pondicherry, Mahabalipuram, Ahmedabad and New Delhi – that my laziness grows! Anyway so here are some updates.
# Met my dearest niece and had the most wonderful time ever!! Among so many relatives (aliens for her) including grandparents of both sides at home for the first time, she took a liking to her Mashi only!! 🙂 That also took two days! And the secret to make her come to you is to ignore her initially so that she is convinced you are not a threat. Ahhh the moment she stretched her little arm towards me and crawled to come into my arms! Pure Bliss! 🙂 So I was the only who could enjoy her company fully 😈
My mobile Nokia music express played an instrumental role in sealing the bond further. She loves music and sways to the rhythm and grunts if someone talks during the song! 😀 So I used to play songs and she would sit in my lap sway and sometimes nod off. 🙂 She recognizes so many things and when asked points to them correctly! For example clock, calendar, light, fan, ears, nose (which I taught!) etc. And see how perfectly she holds a pen naturally without anyone teaching her!!
It has heart wrenching to see her off knowing it may be years before I hold her in my arms again. 😦
# Visiting Ahmedabad and Delhi in May was torturous! Still we managed to sight-see around the cities. Didn’t like both the cities as compared to namma Bengaluru! Delhi’s water made us all sick with gastro problems. Poor Parul had such a bad time and lost so much weight. More about the cities in the upcoming travel posts.
# The first flight experience – awesome! The field of clouds, the view of the setting sun up above in the sky, the trees, the rivers and the green fields..sigh! It is a pity they don’t let you use electronic devices while taking off and landing.
# Finally, after months of searching and comparing, we zeroed in and added a new member to our family. Wait for it…..Ford Figo Titanium (Diesel) Squeeze color 🙂
D is so happy and excited much more than I! Men and their cars! 🙄
# Rains have arrived in Bangalore and I am loving it!! Mangoes are giving the (only) pleasure of summer yet the rains are keeping the temperature down. Wonderful!
# Will get back to reading your blogs now 🙂 Ciao!
Good to see you back!! Congratulations… the colour of your car is very cool!! And this cartoon is so apt for men and their machines!! 😐
Flying among the clouds is an awesome feeling and the myriad shapes and forms of clouds always mesmerize you!
And the lil’ one is holding the pen so right… you are a wonderful teacher!! 🙂
Oh nobody taught her that! thanks!
In Chennai, living inside a house is like living in a hot oven in this season! The nights are worser than the days! Anyway, its good to know that you met your niece and got a nice car (the colour is cool). I do accept that it takes some guts to go to places like Delhi in peak summer!!
Destination Infinity
yeah we had to go as my sister came from Denmark. thanks!
It is always like that with little ones. Ignore them and the chances of they taking to you are more. I have employed the technique and reaped success too 🙂
Your car is a lovely shade 🙂
ahh we were apprehensive about the color the sale of that is low. Thanks!
Wonderful to have you back! What a fun, busy time you have had!
Meeting Parul must have been the best! And what better when she warmed up the most to you 🙂 Don’t worry about not seeing her, plan a trip to where she is, whenever you really miss her.
Congratulations again on your car, and waiting for your travelogue. I just realized that I had not subscribed to your travel blog – mistake rectified now 🙂
ahh she lives in Denmark..not easy to plan a trip 😦 Thanks a lot for subscribing!
I’m a first-timer here. Nice and lively write-up. Glad your ‘baby psychology’ helped you gain one great friend and a sharp student…Being a rep of the male world, it goes without saying that the car looks ‘awesome;.

Thanks Meera
This is a bad time indeed to visit both Delhi & Ahmedabad, both are known for their scorching summers! 😛 The temperature here in days these days remains above 40’C, it was 43’C today! 😉 Best time for both these places is October & November when its around 15-20’C.
You can use your camera & mobile (as long as its GSM, Wifi & Bluetooth radios are switched off ie., keep it on offline/airplane mode, if not available then switch off the phone). You can even use your laptop (I won’t advise, due to the rush generated by jet turbines on takeoff & the bumpy landings), tablet & mp3 player. 🙂
Congrats, a very wise choice. 🙂
He should be, Figo is an excellent car & the diesel variant is a pleasure to drive, been driving it for a year & half myself, drove it from Mumbai to Delhi as well. 😀
Thanks for such a detailed comment! Its a pleasure always!
Congratulations on the car! Cool chic colour there! 🙂
So you’ve been on a travelling spree! Your niece looks really really cute with the doodle-pad! 🙂
Thanks Deeps

Welcome back, welcome back!! 🙂 Oh and like everyone has told you already, lovely car there!
Thanks Debs!
Hi Reema! I feel bad you didnt like Delhi…………though May- June are the worst months to plan a visit to Delhi……..April would have been still good enough because of the pleasant weather! So may be next time when you plan to visit you can come in winters or early summers………….right now its boiling here………..its a menace to even travel !
Anyway congratulations for the new car! and first flight experience is always memorable…….The best part is when the plane is about to take off…..seems like it has nitro boosters ! 😛
I would definitely like to visit again in good weather! Thanks!
Nice captures and niece is a mini you 🙂
Electronic devices while taking off and landing can be dangerous – for the aircraft, that is. Direct meeting with God particle confirmed 🙂
Do write about your Delhi and Ahmedabad trips. Did you go to Mathura and Vrindavan – en route to Agra?
Thanks! No we didnt go to UP side..only Ahmedabad and Delhi.
