# Favorite Photo

It was a cold winter evening. Shekhar sat by the fire-place sipping a hot cup of coffee and engrossed in his favorite pastime ever since his retirement. He was flipping through photo albums even though he had seen them hundreds of times. Of all the photos, there was only one which was his favorite. He still remembered the day when it was taken…..

Shefaly was exhausted after the delivery…she could hardly keep her eyes open…he was holding her hand trying to soothe her. Suddenly he recalled he had forgotten to bring the digicam in a hurry to reach the hospital. He wanted to capture the moment when they take their baby in their arms for the first time. Luckily, when the nurse walked in with the tiny being wrapped in cloth and his wife held their baby for the first time, Shekhar was ready to do phone-photography with his Tata DOCOMO OneTouch Net phone. The gadget helped them transform  a priceless moment into an everlasting memory.

It has been his favorite photo since then….

# Love across Web 3.0

Another mundane day had begun in the office. Nisha was sitting at her desk, staring at the computer screen, lost in her thoughts. She was missing Rahul very much. Rahul had left to US for his masters degree two months ago. For the first time in their 5-year-old relationship, they had gone for so long without seeing each other. All the social networking sites and chat clients were blocked in her company. By the time she would reach home,Rahul used to have left for college. His weekends were spent in assignments, preparation for tests and settling down in a new place…. a new country. Nisha was trying hard to be the understanding girlfriend!!

But today she couldn’t take it anymore because today was their 5th anniversary. She picked up her Tata DOCOMO OneTouch Net phone and sneaked  into one of the enclosures in the ladies’ bathroom. She took a snap of herself blowing a kiss and using the Yahoo! Mail service mailed it to Rahul. Few seconds later, Rahul came online on Y! Messenger and Nisha chatted with him using the webcam on her phone.

By the time Nisha returned to her cubicle there was a silly grin on her face and her cubicle neighbors were amused to see her face glowing with happiness after a long time, thanks to the best gadget she had ever bought!

# Mr.Popular

Vivek was an introvert type of person. In the college jargon he was a nerd. During his college life he didn’t make many friends. His online life too was restricted to having an email address only. In his final year, he got involved with the Internet for his project work. College ended and he got a job in the software industry. Slowly he began to learn more about the online world and the social networking websites. He made his profile on MySpace, Orkut, Facebook and what not!

One day he read the news about Shashi Tharoor “tweeting” and creating a controversy. Vivek got curious about this new website called Twitter. It took time for him to figure out how it worked but once he did, he started liking this flowing conversation called timeline consisting of jokes, quotes, one liners, opinions, remarks and even pics!! Slowly his followers too started to increase. Every time his tweet got re-tweeted, his self-confidence got a boost and he realized he too was interesting and likable!! and soon he was addicted to Twitter! Whenever he was away from his computer, he was tensed thinking about what all tweets he might be missing. He got restless to type when something witty popped up in his mind. He had to control his urge to share pics with his followers every time he ate something delicious or saw something funny or weird. All because he had no access to a camera or the Internet at that moment.

Vivek decided to end this agony and bought the Tata DOCOMO OneTouch Net phone with 2 MP camera. Soon he was able to tweet pictures when he was having a delicious meal or when he saw a funny signboard or live from the stadium or traveling in a bus/train….even when he was getting married!! Vivek the Nerd had become Vivek the Popular Tweep with 5000+ followers!!

Phone photography or Phono-graphy had changed a life.

  1. I thought Tata Docomo was a service provider. If then, which manufacturer’s phone are they branding? I too think its the camera that is the most useful feature of a smart phone – of late, its has been quite useful to me… So, all the best for winning this competition…
